The EMEA Data Center Construction team seeks a Geotechnical Preconstruction Manager with experience in geotechnical studies and assessments for industrial or commercial developments. This role involves supporting the development of the EMEA AWS network by reviewing geotechnical studies, supporting site feasibility, and collaborating with design and external consultancies to optimize foundation and construction design.

The manager will serve as the primary liaison among Design Engineering, Construction, and other teams, providing guidance on geotechnical issues, cost, and schedule. Responsibilities include reviewing initial geotechnical studies, supporting engineering teams, conducting site visits, preparing reports, and managing project documentation.

Daily activities involve representing AWS in project execution, communicating across departments, negotiating technical solutions, and managing geotechnical issues from feasibility to resolution.

Basic Qualifications :

  • University Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields
  • Extensive experience in mission-critical civil works or industrial facilities, preferably internationally
  • Knowledge of safety, quality standards, and safety regulations
  • Proficiency in BIM, Revit, Navisworks, and related software
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% across EMEA

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Project management skills for multiple projects
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project
  • Experience in client roles within regulatory frameworks
  • Additional language skills are a plus
