This role is part of AXA Group Security, which defines security strategy, standards and assurance across the Group, supports security posture maintenance, and coordinates responses to crises. The security function covers Information Security, Operational Resilience and Physical Security & Safety, with the mission to ensure AXA is safe, secure and resilient.
Our Advisory and Standards function supports effective implementation of security arrangements throughout the AXA Group, aiming to create a body of security experts providing subject matter expertise, advice, leadership and guidance to reduce risk and accelerate security transformation.
Role purpose and scope
Team members will lead and support the definition of the target Information Security management systems, frameworks, policies, instructions and guidance. Reporting to the Information Security Executive Manager, the role is accountable for helping build and embed the end-to-end strategic approach to AXA Information Security throughout the Group, including governance and oversight of Information Security activity and the provision of security advisory. The role is a key member of the Group Information Security Function and may be required to act as deputy to the Executive Manager including some responsibility for budgetary and people management.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day activities of the Group Information Security team
- Ensure that Group Information Security goals, targets and deadlines are met
- Provide expertise, advice and guidance to business leadership and colleagues on Information Security to support strategic intent
- Define and maintain Information Security management systems, policies, instructions and detailed guidance for AXA
- Influence the business agenda
- Embed Information Security requirements throughout the AXA Group
- Embed a security culture and ensure security by design
- Support management of group-level Information Security threats, incidents and crises
- Upskill security practitioners
- Drive simplification, innovation, and convergence of security
- Contribute to information security good practice and support its adoption across the group
- Delivery through direct engagement with geographical and functional leadership and the wider Security community
Key responsibilities – Information Security
Support leadership, governance and oversight of the Group Information Security Function and act as deputy to the Executive Manager, including budgetary management and people leadershipLead the Information Security team and oversee activity to ensure an integrated capability that supports the Group’s strategic intentDefine Security strategy, framework, operating model and capabilities, bringing expert knowledge and innovationServe as a global Subject Matter Expert and point of contact for Information Security across GO / AXA or external partsInfluence the business and functional agendas and build internal sponsorshipEngage with risk management disciplines and geographic / functional leadership to align information security with Group requirementsDesign and lead governance requirements for Information Security throughout the GroupAct as SME during incidents and crises, coordinating the Information Security response to multi-entity crises as requiredAnalyze emerging technology trends and drive framework evolutionRequired technical competencies
