Overview
Associate Director, Solution Delivery role at Novartis in Barcelona, Spain. This position is part of Global Clinical Operations IT and focuses on managing the clinical technology platform to support Clinical Trial management. The role collaborates within cross-functional teams to leverage technology to streamline operations and drive efficiency in Clinical Operations.
Responsibilities include delivering technology strategy and ensuring business value from technology products, partnering with business leaders, and driving transformation initiatives across the function. The role primarily supports Site and Study Operations (SSO) within GCO IT.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute technology delivery strategy for business systems, platforms and processes for a defined business domain / Function
- Own end-to-end technology product delivery across business areas; partner with the business product owner to set a technology roadmap that delivers business value
- Collaborate with Business Product Directors for demand analysis, solution proposals / evaluation and funding estimates for operations / projects
- Work with business partners to ensure Technology Service / Solutions Delivery teams deliver products according to the strategy with reuse across areas
- Ensure services platforms and products are fit for purpose and achieve the desired business impact
- Run efficient DevOps for platforms, products, or systems to ensure availability and performance
- Establish governance for projects and operations with appropriate stakeholder representation, ensuring IT services, security and compliance adherence
- Track, report and deliver against success factors and measurements for stakeholders while maintaining a positive user experience during design, deployment and operations
- Contribute to transformation initiatives using current tech stacks and industry practices to drive agility and efficiency
- Manage application lifecycle management, data consistency, portfolio optimization and continual improvements
- Execute problem management and identify root causes to prevent recurrences
Essential Requirements
University degree and / or relevant experience and professional qualificationsTrack record delivering technology products (e.g., working in Veeva Vault)Working knowledge of Clinical business process (including GxP) within the Pharma industryIT strategy and planning, emerging technology monitoring, vendor management; understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologiesProven ability to work in a cross-functional, matrix environment; strong relationship-building and engagement skillsContinuous improvement and change management mindset; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independentlyProficiency in English (written and oral)Nice To Have
Working knowledge of Clinical business process areasIntegration with CTMS (Veeva) and solutions supporting Site and Study operations within Clinical OperationsExperience in adopting and developing Agile methodologiesCommitment To Diversity & Inclusion
