SAP CO / FICO Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager (SAP CO / FICO) to join our client’s international structures in Barcelona, Spain.

Our partner is leading telco infrastructure company, operating in over 12 countries in Europe. Its business consists of : telecommunications and broadcasting infrastructure services; security and emergency service networks and solutions for urban infrastructure.

This person will be reporting to Head of IT Applications Backoffice. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a growing organization that is driving a major SAP S / 4HANA transformation. You’ll have the chance to shape core processes, collaborate with leading external partners, and make a tangible impact. The role is based in Barcelona with a flexible hybrid working model.

What You’ll Do :

• Lead the full project lifecycle of major SAP CO transformation initiatives – from planning and design through execution, go-live, and post-implementation support.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for business and external providers, ensuring alignment of business goals, seamless communication, and strong stakeholder relationships at all levels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scope, objectives, and measurable success criteria.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, driving accountability across timelines, budgets, resources, and risk management.
• Direct the projects for the implementation of technological solutions associated with the area of responsibility and collaborate in other projects of the unit, management or group
• Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to diverse project teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and a culture of delivery excellence.Supervise and manage both internal and external teams, approximately 20 members (2 direct reports), to ensure project responsibilities are met efficiently and effectively.
• Track and monitor project progress, delivering clear, actionable status reports for executive leadership and key stakeholders.
• Champion process improvements and best practices in SAP program delivery, ensuring sustainable long-term value for the client.
