Service Club is the leading recruitment and training platform for the delivery, mobility, and logistics sectors. We help top brands such as delivery platforms, courier companies, and mobility operators find, train, and onboard pre-vetted drivers and riders quickly and efficiently.
Our mission is simple — to make hiring in the service industry smarter, faster, and more sustainable. We combine technology, marketing, and human expertise to meet clients’ recruitment targets while empowering jobseekers to upskill and succeed.
Abut the Job
We are expanding our Platform Engineering team to accelerate our key strategic initiatives. We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join as a foundational peer to scale the team's impact and capacity.
Your mission will be to help us optimize and scale our AWS infrastructure with a clear focus on proactive cost control. Concurrently, you will lead the evolution of our "paved road," enhancing the tools (Terraform, GitHub Actions) our developers use to deploy code. You will be a strategic enabler, ensuring our platform is an engine for efficiency, speed, and reliability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Proactive Cost Control : You will take ownership of our cloud spend. This means auditing our AWS environment, implementing cost-saving measures (like Savings Plans or instance right-sizing), and building the Datadog dashboards and alerts needed to manage cost as a first-class metric.
- Build the "Paved Road" : You will build and maintain the reusable Terraform modules, optimize GitHub Actions pipelines, and streamline the container (Docker) workflows that our developers use to ship code quickly and safely.
- Share Operational Ownership : As a senior peer, you will share the day-to-day work of unblocking developers and managing infrastructure requests. The goal is to reduce noise and create focused time for strategic, deep work.
- Scale Core Services : You will ensure the infrastructure underpinning our key services (EKS, AWS MQ) and our data stack (Clickhouse, Airflow) is reliable, scalable, and observable, working closely with the data team to support their needs.
Key Requirements (Must-Haves)
Deep AWS Expertise : You have extensive hands-on experience managing production workloads in AWS and a strong understanding of core services (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, RDS).Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Fluency : You are an expert in Terraform and believe in managing infrastructure as code, not through the console.Hands-on EKS Experience : You have demonstrable experience managing production container orchestration with AWS EKS.CI / CD Optimization : You have experience optimizing CI / CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred) for speed and reliability.A "Developer Enabler" Mindset : You have high empathy for developers and view your role as a partnership to make their lives easier, not to be a gatekeeper.Pragmatic & Proactive : You are a "doer" who can independently identify a problem (like cost-waste), propose a solution, and execute it from start to finish.Nice-to-Haves
Experience with our data stack (Clickhouse, Airflow, AWS MQ / RabbitMQ). A willingness to learn this stack is essential if you don't have direct experience.Proficiency with Datadog or similar for observability, and cost monitoringWhy Join Us
