About the job. Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is looking for a Front Desk Agent to join our team. The Front Desk Agent is a central part of the Front Office Team whose main objective is to ensure our guests have a smooth arrival and departure experience. As the first and last impression of the Hotel, this high-profile department carries a special responsibility. The Front Office is also the natural place where guests direct comments, questions, suggestions and concerns.

Role

• Check in guests in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest name whenever possible. Ensure the guest is assigned the type of room requested, the correct rate is charged, and issues the correct keys to the guest.
• Arrange for luggage to be delivered to the guest room.
• Escort guests to the rooms and explain all the facilities.
• Check out guests, prepare and explain the bill.
• Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism; accommodate special requests whenever possible; resolve customer complaints; assist guests inquiries related to hotel services, hours of operation, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc. Respond to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner.
• Utilize a variety of computer systems to check guests in and out, run daily reports, and select and block rooms for arriving guests.
• Assist guests in all cash transactions available (currency exchange, cash deposits) and ensure the float is correct.
• Handle guest complaints promptly and ensure proper follow up is done by the departments concerned, with a Manager on Duty.
• Support newcomers and interns with training.
• Respond to guest chats following company standards.
