About the role

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the analytics and data science team in Barcelona. This role is ideal for professionals with strong technical expertise and leadership abilities, who enjoy mentoring, driving complex projects, and applying advanced machine learning techniques to solve real business problems. The position focuses on improving search, recommendations, and retention strategies in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a hybrid role, requiring two days per week onsite in the Barcelona office.

What will you do

Ideally you bring

At least 4 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist in a business environment.

A degree in a quantitative field (advanced degree preferred).

Solid foundation in probability, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.

Strong expertise in machine learning techniques such as ensemble models, NLP, optimization, clustering, or deep learning.

Previous experience in personalization, recommendations, or two-sided marketplaces is highly valued.

Excellent SQL and Python skills, along with experience in data visualization and big data technologies.

Strong communication abilities, with a talent for translating complex analyses into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

A collaborative mindset and a proactive, self-driven work style.
