Overview

As a DCEO : Engineering Operations Technician – Water Engineer at AWS, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of water treatment systems and chemical processes across our data center fleet. This role combines expertise in water chemistry, treatment systems, and infrastructure management to ensure the reliable operation of AWS data centers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for water system infrastructure and chemical treatments
• Oversee critical systems including ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, and oxidant systems
• Develop and maintain Legionella prevention programs
• Implement Water Utilization Efficiency (WUE) improvements
• Review and influence water chemistry and treatment designs for new facilities
• Coordinate with design engineering teams on system specifications
• Review construction documents and provide technical guidance
• Manage preventative maintenance programs
• Create and implement standard operating procedures
• Monitor system performance and establish benchmarks
• Coordinate with operations managers and field engineering teams
