Job Requirements
To manage the delivery of policies and strategies that minimise and mitigate risks to improve Health and Safety resilience throughout TJX Spain. Provide advice and guidance on all Health and Safety issues to raise awareness and enable compliance through effective Health and Safety management programmes. Work with key stakeholders to agree and implement corporate business goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies for TJX Spain to raise the profile and understanding of Health and Safety-related risks.
- Provide guidance, support, and advice to all divisions within the region and in-country to ensure legal compliance.
- Effectively communicate EU corporate policies, procedures, and arrangements to key stakeholders and external bodies. Liaise with regulatory bodies, the National Institute for Safety and Hygiene at Work, Labour and Social Security Inspectorate, and Fire Services as required.
- Identify, research, and risk assess the impact of new Health and Safety legislation across the region. Work with team business partners to devise European amendment proposals, provide reports, and manage change to ensure corporate and legal compliance.
- Develop and maintain strong, effective cross-functional business partnerships across the region. Work with stakeholders to raise compliance and facilitate solutions in high-risk areas.
- Support the development, management, and implementation of Health and Safety education programs for store, office, and distribution teams to ensure roles and responsibilities are fully understood and policies are adhered to.
- Build effective external and internal relationships and networks to ensure legal compliance and industry / retail knowledge.
- Manage and investigate serious incidents, providing appropriate recommendations and support to influence risk reduction through policy change.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Minimum professional qualification as an Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) specialist at senior level or equivalent.Knowledge of fire safety regulations.Advanced English language skills.Ability to build and influence effective partnerships with key stakeholders.Demonstrates strong leadership skills.Strong understanding of the off-price retail model.Results-driven attitude.Strong presentation, analytical, and reporting skills.Ability and flexibility to meet travel requirements.Please submit your CV in English.
