Enterprise Backend Developer

Overview At Cognizant Netcentric, we're looking for a seasoned backend developer to join our team and play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality enterprise-class websites using Adobe Experience Manager.

Responsibilities Develop and maintain robust codebases for AEM-based projects, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

Lead and mentor teams of developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Estimate development tasks, identify potential risks, and provide actionable recommendations for optimization.

Perform regular code reviews, sharing best practices and promoting technical excellence within the team.

Define release strategies, including branching, Continuous Integration, and development workflows.

Requirements Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.

5+ years of experience working in international environments and organizations.

Extensive expertise in AEM-based projects, with a deep understanding of underlying technologies.

Strong knowledge of Java, Web technologies, and AEM's core components.

Familiarity with AEM on-premise and as Cloud Service, including RESTful Web Services and web security principles.

Ability to define technical solutions and drive project success.

Strong verbal and written English language skills.

Desirable Skills Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service, leveraging its features and capabilities.

Familiarity with building tools, including Maven and Git version control.

Knowledge of Patterns and Good Practices for designing and developing high-quality code.

Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals.

Experience in pair programming and code reviews, driving technical excellence.

Proficiency in testing at various levels : unit, integration, functional, and performance.

Familiarity with task management, bug tracking, and wiki-based documentation tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Proactive mindset, enthusiasm, and an open mind always seeking continuous improvement.

Comfort with receiving and giving feedback, essential for growth and development.

Additional language skills, particularly in Spanish, would be an asset.

Eligibility to work within the EU and / or Switzerland.
