Information Security Advisor – Barcelona

As part of our growing Security Advisory practice, we are looking for an Information Security Advisor to join our team in Barcelona .

Your Responsibilities

As an Information Security Advisor , you’ll be a trusted partner to both central security teams and local business stakeholders. Your goal : ensure that security practices, tools, and policies are effectively understood, applied, and continuously improved.

You will :

  • Lead and contribute to threat modelling activities, identifying potential attack paths and helping design secure architectures.
  • Support and advise engineering and product teams on cloud security best practices , with a strong focus on AWS environments .
  • Participate in security assessments and policy reviews , helping translate technical findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate on tool evaluation and integration (e.g. vulnerability management, monitoring, or compliance tools).
  • Provide guidance during incidents and contribute to post-incident analysis and prevention measures.
  • Act as a security ambassador, fostering awareness, knowledge sharing, and a proactive security culture across teams.

Who You Are :

  • You have between 4 and 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, ideally in advisory, governance, or technical security roles.
  • You have hands-on experience with Threat Modelling (e.g. STRIDE, DREAD, MITRE ATT&CK).
  • You understand AWS Cloud Security fundamentals (IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty, SCPs, network segmentation...).
  • You are familiar with information security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP, GDPR).
  • You have basic knowledge of secure coding and web application security principles.
  • You’re proactive, analytical, and enjoy collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • You are fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish or French is a plus.
