Arup’s Foresight team explores a complex and evolving future. We identify early signals of change, analyse major trends, and explore future operating contexts to help clients make better decisions, manage opportunities and risks, and invest wisely. The role is based in Arup Spain with projects in Spain, Europe and globally, offering an opportunity to influence the future of clients, the business and the team.
Responsibilities
- Manage internal and external Foresight projects (scoping and bid development, research and analysis, client engagement, team and budget management).
- Actively participate in Foresight business development in Spain and Europe.
- Support the development and performance of a small team of foresight analysts.
- Engage relevant Arup Businesses and Services in Spain and Europe to understand their strategic priorities.
- Lead the development and delivery of research and reports for clients and other parts of the firm.
- Plan, prepare and deliver interactive internal and external workshops and engagements (from small roundtables to wider public / client engagements).
- Work across multiple sectors, regions, and domains as an integrator of Foresight with Arup’s technical and domain expertise.
- Act as an ambassador of foresight approaches and the team in Spain and Europe, raising awareness of its value to internal and external clients and the wider firm.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience in advisory and consulting sectors.Strong project management and coordination skills; experience with business development and client engagement.Knowledge of key frameworks, methodologies and approaches in foresight and strategy projects.Quantitative and qualitative skills; ability to articulate the value of Foresight for strategy, risk, and innovation processes.Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills; strong written and spoken Spanish and English (additional European languages a plus).Ability to independently manage projects and coordinate with other teams; capability to support learning and development of others.Experience in leading client bids and propositions from concept to final proposition; experience in facilitating workshops and high-level stakeholder engagements.Knowledge of the built environment and related sectors is a plus; existing network of potential partners / clients in Europe is a plus.Benefits & Conditions
