Job Title : Azure Platform Support Engineer

Location : Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid)

Contract Type : Permanent / Full-time

Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Azure Platform Support Engineer to join an international technology team and play a critical role in ensuring smooth platform operations. You’ll be working across global systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements that enhance performance, reliability, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver day-to-day operational support for global platforms, resolving issues within SLA and minimizing client impact.
  • Troubleshoot platform incidents, escalate bugs, and contribute to performance improvements.
  • Maintain and adjust automation scripts to improve efficiency of recurring processes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across engineering, DevOps, and support teams to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Monitor systems proactively using modern observability tools and ensure thorough documentation of solutions.
  • Support ongoing platform enhancements, contributing ideas for adopting new technologies.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in Linux scripting (Bash, Python basics) .
  • Proven experience working with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and container technologies ( Kubernetes, Docker ).
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and deployment automation ( Jenkins pipelines or similar).
  • Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL, Synapse) and logging / monitoring tools (Elasticsearch, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace).
  • Exposure to distributed systems (e.g., Spark), messaging systems (Kafka), and data science tooling (Jupyterhub, R-Studio) is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with agile collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Git) and within ITIL-based service environments.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, proactive approach, and effective communicator in English .
  • Demonstrates a DevOps mindset, taking responsibility for building and running applications.
