Technical Delivery Lead, Associate Director – Novartis

We’re seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead across DevSecOps, cloud delivery, and full-stack development. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive secure, scalable solutions on Azure and AWS, champion modern software engineering practices, and inspire high-performing teams to deliver with excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure Security & Compliance : Enforce adherence to security standards (e.g., OWASP) and compliance policies across systems and processes.
Secure CI / CD Pipelines : Design and implement secure CI / CD workflows integrating tools like SAST, DAST, and vulnerability scanners.
Cloud Security & Governance : Manage and secure Azure and AWS environments with a focus on compliance, IAM, and governance.
DevSecOps & Automation : Automate security and infrastructure tasks using scripting (Python, Bash) and tools like Terraform and Ansible.
Application Architecture : Architect secure, scalable APIs, microservices, and serverless solutions using Azure / AWS-native services.
Full-Stack Development : Lead full-stack development using modern front-end (React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end (Node.js, Python, Java) technologies.
Containerization & Orchestration : Implement and secure containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Database Design & Integration : Develop and manage relational (PostgreSQL, MSSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) database solutions.
Project & Agile Delivery : Drive project roadmaps, risk mitigation, and agile delivery practices across cross-functional teams.
Technical Leadership : Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and foster best practices in secure and scalable software engineering.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with specialized training or certifications in cloud architecture (Azure / AWS), DevSecOps, and full-stack development.
Deep expertise in both Azure and AWS cloud platforms, including services like Azure Functions, Azure Security Center, AWS Lambda, and AWS Security Hub.
Strong knowledge of DevSecOps practices, including containerization (Docker / Kubernetes), IAM, and secure application deployment.
Comprehensive understanding of agile methodologies and project delivery frameworks.
Hands-on experience in full-stack development, including modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular) and back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, Java).
Proficiency in setting up secure, scalable APIs and designing microservices architecture.
Proven ability to lead technical teams, conduct code reviews, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Solid understanding of CI / CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Github Actions), scripting (Python, Bash), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
Desirable Requirements
Experience working in highly regulated environments, ideally within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
Advanced certifications in cloud platforms (such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect) or recognized credentials in DevSecOps, Agile, or project management.
