Software Development Engineer, Amazon Business Incentives & Promotions

Our AB Incentives & Promotions team is building innovative solutions to reward customers for high-value actions and deliver exceptional customer experiences through sophisticated journey mapping. We're at the forefront of creating scalable systems that integrate seamlessly with Amazon Business and Amazon Business Prime ecosystems.

As a Software Development Engineer, you'll be immersed in designing and implementing scalable platforms that power our global promotions and incentives programs. Your work will involve leading complex integration projects across multiple teams, driving architectural decisions that impact millions of customers, and building solutions for multi-marketplace deployment. You'll work with a modern technology stack that includes React for frontend development, Java and Python for backend services, and various AWS services including DynamoDB, API Gateway, Lambda, and SQS, along with internal systems like Coral Service.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in professional, non-internship software development
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
• Experience in development in the last 3 years, or experience in professional, non-internship software development
