JavaScript Software Developer (Senior level) - European based

My client is a strong leader and innovator in disruptive video content delivery technology (MultiCDN) solutions used by many streaming and broadcasting organisations worldwide. They are looking to expand their workforce and keen to hire a Senior JavaScript Software Developer. The role is to work remotely from anywhere within 2 / 3 hours of CET. Remote working : Whilst remote working is fully supported and encouraged, it is also important to start the day in tandem with the team. The team starts the day at 9am WET. There is an element of flexibility. My client are well organized to hire extensively on a remote working basis especially during these challenging times. This would be a great opportunity to join a highly innovative group of people that are building the future. There is an option to relocate to Tenerife in Spain should the candidate be open to such relocation.

We are expanding internationally beyond our core team currently located in Tenerife (Canary Islands) to ensure we deliver high-quality products and services to both our current and future international customers. They have engagements with top players and clients in the industry with global audiences, with plans on expanding our operations with new and exciting products.

What you will find in this position

We are looking for a self-motivated and driven Senior Javascript developer to contribute to our team working in the development of web-based frameworks and apps. You will be working alongside other engineers working on different layers of the company. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving and the creation of quality products is essential.

What we expect from you

• Degree in Computer Science, Software engineering, Physics, Mathematics or similar.
• 5 years of experience in Javascript.
• 3 years of experience in Typescript.
• Experience with NPM and Webpack.
• Experience with Git (version control tools in general) and modern CI / CD systems.
• Experience with unit testing and test-driven development, such as Jest.
• Experience maintaining JS libraries.
• Experience with software architecture and design.
• Passion for working with multiple teams and learning new skills.
• Whilst remote working is fully supported and encouraged, and we are flexible in several aspects, it is also important to start the day in tandem with the team. The team starts the day at 9 A.M. WET with a standup meeting.
