The Strategic Ingredient / API Process scientist acts as key interface between Galderma and the suppliers to develop manufacturing process, resolve technical challenges, oversee validation activities, and evaluate technical changes for API. The position holder is the major contributor to all API processes related questions and topics. As a Process Scientist, you will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of process materials, and you will have the opportunity to impact the future of technology and material solutions.
Key Responsibilities Technical expert for Strategic Ingredient / API process : you will be the technical reference in API for all process development & issues. You have strong knowledges on process technologies (milling, sieving), experience of powders, API. You\'ll be responsible to evaluate manufacturing process set up, understand how technologies will be applied and controlled as well as know product requirements / specifics when setting up the manufacturing process API. You will focus on support the development and optimise the execution of Strategic Ingredient / API manufacturing process development and particle size development experiments so that definitive conclusions are made, and deliverables are met.
Testing, characterization, qualification & spec setting for Strategic Ingredient / API source : You will utilize advanced techniques for material characterization & analysis (particle characterization, PSD techniques). You will develop design experiments & tests protocols to evaluate material properties linking to manufacturing process API.
Product / technical stewardship : identify & resolve API-related issues in manufacturing & application. Stay updated with the latest development & manufacturing process API and provide technical leadership. You will identify & implement process improvement for cost reduction & efficiency gains in manufacturing.
Due diligence, risk assessment and troubleshooting : You will participate to due diligence when we select new API supplier. You will identify potential risks and challenges related to manufacturing process and develop strategies to mitigate them. Additionally, you\'ll troubleshoot any API issues that may arise during production or distribution.
Skills & Qualifications Strong years of experience in particle engineering, small molecule, API gained especially in MS&T or similar department experience.
Understanding in various particle characterization techniques.
Experience in process scale up.
Formal continuous improvement qualification (lean sigma green).
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
Extensive knowledge of pre-formulation particle engineering and associated cGMP requirements in a pharmaceutical environment.
Strongly business oriented.
