Head of Talent

Our client, a fast-growing multinational startup operating in the technology sector, is searching for a full-time Head of Talent reporting to the Chief of People & Culture Officer (located in Madrid). The Head of Talent will design and execute comprehensive talent development and acquisition strategies aligned with the organization ́s mission, vision, business goals, strategic priorities and compliance (internal policies and regulatory requirements). This role will develop and implement comprehensive strategies to attract, develop, engage, and retain top talent to build a high-performing, diverse workforce. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader experienced in navigating fast-paced environments and driving people-centric initiatives partnering closely with teams across the different regions and continuously optimizing talent strategies to support the company's rapid growth and technological leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main duties and responsibilities include :

• Develop and implement scalable talent acquisition strategies to attract exceptional candidates across all functions, with a focus on technology roles.
• Develop and own the comprehensive talent development strategy, ensuring tight alignment with regional business objectives and global People priorities.
• Lead and mentor a high-impact talent team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Partner with senior leadership to forecast hiring needs and workforce planning.
• Act as a strategic partner to senior business leaders and CPCO, diagnosing organizational needs and co-creating solutions to build critical capabilities.
• Oversee performance management, succession planning, and employee development programs.
• Utilize data and analytics to measure and improve recruitment effectiveness and talent retention, identify future skill gaps, and forecast leadership needs.
• Design, implement, and scale a suit of leadership development programs targeting all levels, from emerging leaders to senior executives.
• Oversee the identification, assessment, and development of high-potential employees, managing succession planning for critical roles across the regions.
• Champion a feedback culture, equipping managers with the skills and tools to effectively develop their teams.
• Evolve and manage our high-performance management model, shifting the focus from annual reviews to continuous feedback and development conversations in alignment with organization goals.
• Create clear and compelling career pathways and mobility frameworks that enable employees to visualize and actively pursue growth opportunities within the company.
• Integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into all talent processes to ensure fair development opportunities for everyone.
• Oversee the learning and development initiatives, including digital platforms to offer the best possible employee experience.
• Partner with matter experts to design and deliver targeted training initiatives that address specific business challenges and build functional expertise.
• Foster a continuous growth mindset environment where employees are empowered to take ownership of their professional growth.
• Support employer branding initiatives to enhance our reputation as an employer of choice.
• Stay updated on market trends and competitive landscape to maintain a cutting-edge talent strategy.
• Manage and oversee the talent function budget, ensuring effective allocation and monitoring of resources across recruitment, development, and retention initiatives. Collaborate with finance stakeholders to report on budget utilization and optimize expenditures to maximize ROI aligned with organizational goals.
