Hardware QA Tester

We are seeking a HWQA Tester to join our team and work full-time and on-site in Sant Cugat del Vallès with a leading multinational client in the printing industry

The role will focus on printer diagnosability , which refers to the printer’s ability to automatically detect and identify the hardware component responsible for a failure. It also covers Service Diagnostics , which are routines executed outside of normal operation to enhance the printer’s self-diagnostic capabilities.

This position is intended for a technician with knowledge in electronics and software, responsible for reproducing machine failures (mechanical, electrical, and component-related) on a prototype and validating that the firmware correctly identifies the error and generates the expected response.

The HWQA Diagnosability Tester will be responsible for the following activities :

• Review and agree on the list of system errors that the printer should automatically detect via designed hardware, ensuring proper documentation for Service Support.
• Review and agree on the list of service diagnostics available in the printer, ensuring they are documented for Service Support.
• Test and validate all system errors and Service Diagnostics functionalities to ensure proper detection and reporting. This consists on physically provoking the failure mode (disconnections, short-circuits, overtemperatures, etc.) in the printer and verify that the reported error is the expected one.
• Document troubleshooting processes for System Errors, including which steps should be taken and which parts should be replaced to solve the issue.
