Senior Financial and Reporting Accountant

Company Description

We are looking for a motivated individual to fill the full-time position of Senior Accountant in our office in Zaragoza to perform accounting & finance activities for their assigned territories (Spain and / or our European affiliates).

An experienced Senior Accountant is vital to any organization's accounting and administration system. They oversee all aspects of general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions, ensuring the process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Primary responsibility of the Senior Accountant includes reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures, with emphasis on timely and accurate entry booking.

Bank accounts reconciliation. Booking Cash movements and maintaining cash forecast.

• AP / AR / Cash to GL reconciliation.
• Elaborating and submitting VAT filings (SII), CIT and other taxes (Intrastat, Intracommunity VAT, etc.)
• Support in daily activities and Year-end audit and preparation of statutory accounts.
• Knowledge of general ledger functions and the month-end / year-end close process.
• Accrual preparation and control.
• Travel expenses.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience in a similar position.
• Experience in Microsoft NAV / Business Central.
• Knowledge of finance and accounting principles, Spanish GAAP knowledge preferred.
• Good working knowledge of intermediate to Advanced Excel.
• Strong critical thinking, problem identification, analysis, corrective action, and closure.
• English.
