The role As a Senior Sales Engineer at Ping Identity, you’ll merge your enthusiasm for identity management with a commitment to customer success. In collaboration with our sales team, you will engage in customer meetings, demonstrations, and proofs of concept, showcasing the business and technical benefits of our solutions. Your role is pivotal in enabling personal, team, and customer achievements through insightful and innovative solutions that meet technical and business needs. This role offers the chance to showcase your technical and consultative skills with stakeholders at various levels to understand and meet technical requirements with cutting-edge solutions. Your expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies will be key in delivering impactful solutions that align with customer business goals.
Responsibilities :
Deliver pre-sales activities including solution demonstrations, presentations, technical guidance, proofs of concept, and RFx responses
Be the go-to technical expert on solutions for customers, partners, and internal teams
Establish enduring relationships with customers and become their trusted advisor
Collaborate with the sales team to deliver revenue with emphasis during key sales cycle phases : Qualification, Discovery, and Technical Proof Phase
Coordinate pre-sales efforts with a post-sales service delivery team
Meetings, both virtually and in-person, to deliver presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and demonstrations of Ping solutions and their value
Provide insightful feedback on product enhancements and customer needs to product owners
Develop subject matter expert level knowledge of at least one Ping Identity solution
Able to travel up to 30% of the time (typically less)
Skills & Qualifications Significant experience with enterprise-level software systems in a customer-facing role (pre-sales or consulting)
Demonstrable interest and experience in computer security or cybersecurity
Knowledge of open standards and protocols relating to identity and security (e.g., OAuth, OpenID Connect; SSO experience is a plus)
Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON data; experience with modern programming / scripting languages is advantageous
Foundational infrastructure and networking knowledge (VMs, TCP / IP, DNS, HTTP / S, load balancers, proxies, etc.)
Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and deployment tools (Kubernetes, Terraform) is beneficial
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, including verbal, written, and listening abilities; good objection handling and solution discovery
Ability to relate solution capabilities back to customer needs in a narrative style
Self-directed work style and ability to collaborate with teams and customers
Strong learning mindset and willingness to seek guidance when needed
Fluent in Spanish and located in Spain, with ability to travel to Madrid or Barcelona; Portuguese knowledge is a plus
