Retail Operations Coordinator Madrid

Your tasks

Actively support the Store Management and serve as its direct representative during absences

Share responsibility for staff scheduling, organization and supervision of store operations, as well as the preparation of statistics, reports, and performance analyses

Engage in active sales of TASCHEN’s full program, including Collector’s Editions and Art Editions

Create a positive and inspiring shopping experience through service-oriented customer engagement

Build, maintain, and expand the client base, including proactive client acquisition

Support the leadership, motivation, and development of the store team

Organize and coordinate book signings, author talks, and special events

Oversee product supply and stock levels, including placing orders, monthly stocktakes, and the annual inventory

Ensure the store always maintains an immaculate and visually appealing appearance

Your profile

Proven experience in a similar position, ideally in premium retail and preferably within the art or gallery environment

Entrepreneurial mindset, results-oriented working style, and strong sense of responsibility

Independent, structured, and well-organized approach with excellent coordination skills

Excellent command of both Spanish and English, spoken and written

Strong communication skills and a confident, positive demeanor

High level of social competence, customer sensitivity, and passion for excellent service

Professional, polished, and friendly appearance

Flexibility, reliability, and a strong team spirit

Genuine enthusiasm and affinity for TASCHEN’s publishing program and themes

Ideally, well-connected within Madrid’s art and cultural scene
