Overview
An innovative B2C digital platform in the iGaming industry is seeking a Platform Backend Engineer (Golang) to join its remote team of senior-level engineers. This is a hands-on role where your ideas and code will directly impact thousands of users worldwide. What You’ll Do
- Design and implement complex backend services using Go
- Contribute to architecture and technical decisions for scalable systems
- Build and maintain data pipelines and data transformations, ideally leveraging DBT
- Ensure code quality through testing and best practices
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in English
- Drive DevOps practices using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions
- Optimize database performance (PostgreSQL, Clickhouse)
- Work on event-driven architectures (Kafka)
Qualifications
Proven experience building and maintaining complex backend systemsStrong expertise in Golang and its ecosystemHands-on experience designing data pipelines, ideally familiarity with DBT or similar data transformation toolsHands-on with Kubernetes and containerized environmentsProficiency in GitHub Actions for CI / CD workflowsSolid SQL skills (PostgreSQL, Clickhouse a plus)Understanding of distributed systems and microservicesBackground in online platforms, transactional systems, or iGamingExperience in regulated digital industriesKnowledge of security best practices for financial or sensitive data systemsFamiliarity with monitoring, observability, and performance tuningWork Arrangement
Fully remote role, ideally within Central European Time working hours. Option to enjoy collaborative time in our modern offices in Lisbon or Barcelona .
