Our Legal & Compliance Department acts as a strategic partner to all business areas, supporting high-impact initiatives across the organization and working closely with our international teams to ensure global alignment.

We are looking for a Data Protection & Compliance Expert to play a key strategic role in strengthening our compliance framework and leading our data protection program in Spain.

Your Mission

You will act as a trusted advisor across the business, ensuring robust GDPR compliance and contributing to the continuous evolution of our compliance culture.

This role works closely with senior management and the global compliance team, having a direct impact on risk mitigation, regulatory alignment, and business enablement.

Key Responsibilities

Data Protection & Compliance

• Act as Data Protection & Compliance Expert for the Spanish group companies under GDPR and applicable local regulations.
• Maintain and enhance the company’s data protection framework (policies, procedures, and internal controls).
• Oversee ROPA, DPIAs/PIAs, privacy-by-design reviews, and data mapping activities.
• Monitor data processing activities, international transfers, retention policies, third-party processing, and data subject rights.
• Lead and manage data breach responses and coordinate with supervisory authorities when required.
• Deliver internal training and awareness programs on data protection.
• Support the localization and implementation of global compliance policies (anti-bribery, trade sanctions, AI Act, NIS2, and other regulatory frameworks).

International Collaboration

• Work closely with the global Data Protection & Compliance team to ensure alignment of policies and standards.
• Support international and cross-border compliance harmonization projects.

Candidate Profile

Education

• Degree in Law.
• Data protection certification (CIPP/E, CIPM, CDPO, or equivalent).

Experience

• 4/5 years of professional experience
• Solid background as DPO, Privacy Lead, or Compliance Officer.

Hard Skills

• Deep knowledge of GDPR and Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD).
• Knowledge of AI Act, NIS2 Directive, and other digital/cyber regulations is a plus.
• Understanding of whistleblowing, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and general compliance frameworks.
• Experience drafting privacy policies, compliance frameworks, and internal procedures.
• Ability to conduct DPIAs and implement comprehensive compliance programs.
• Experience with third-party/vendor risk assessments.
• Strong capability to translate regulatory requirements into practical business actions.

Soft Skills

• Proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong business acumen with the ability to provide clear, practical solutions.
• Interest in ICT, emerging technologies, and digital transformation.
• Ability to operate in multinational and dynamic environments.
• Strong organizational change management skills.

Languages

• High level of English (C1 or equivalent).
