What You’ll Do

As part of our Veterinary Claims Team, you’ll :

Review and evaluate pet insurance claims with a clinical and customer-centered mindset.

Analyze veterinary medical records, invoices, and diagnostics to ensure fast and fair decisions.

Collaborate cross-functionally with tech, business, and customer support teams.

Provide insights that help improve automation and streamline our processes.

Continuously learn and adapt as Barkibu evolves, exploring how AI can enhance decision-making.

Who You Are

You’re more than a clinical vet — you're a lifelong learner eager to apply your skills in new ways. You’re flexible, thoughtful, and genuinely curious about how technology can improve veterinary care. You enjoy solving puzzles, spotting inconsistencies, and thinking a few steps ahead. You’re ready to thrive in a non-traditional veterinary role, working behind the scenes to ensure the best outcomes for our clients and their pets.

What We’re Looking For

Veterinary Degree.

Experience in small animal clinical practice (1–2 years is ideal), though we value your mindset, curiosity, and adaptability even more.

A naturally curious mind — you love digging into cases and understanding how systems work.

A flexible and open attitude — comfortable with change, ambiguity, and experimentation.

Strong organizational and analytical skills — detail matters in our claims process.

Comfortable working in a digital-first environment.

Fluent in written and spoken English. Bonus points for Portuguese, German, Italian, or French. Other European languages will also interest us. Spanish is a bonus but not a must!
