Research Associate / PhD Researcher – Cybersecurity & Blockchain

Descripción del trabajoPhD holder, current PhD candidate, or prospective PhD researcher in Computer Science, Information Security, Data Science, or related fields. Demonstrate knowledge or experience in cybersecurity or blockchain. Interest in applied research, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration. Prior experience with EU-funded projects, (ex. Horizon Europe) is a strong advantage. Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken). Driving licence and own car. Working in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment contributing to your personal development (knowledge and skills). Stable and flexible working arrangements through a hybrid teleworking model that promotes work-life balance. Specific Training Plan in the areas of specialisation. Salary according to professional experience and expertise level. Location : O Porriño (located some 25 km from Vigo, excellent communications to Vigo Airport, Santiago and Porto; and good communication with the AVE train network.)
Main Duties
Be part of the smart systems and smart manufacturing team, you will perform the following duties :
- Conduct applied and theoretical research in one or more of the following areas : cybersecurity frameworks, secure data sharing, blockchain applications, and distributed ledger technologies.
- Contribute to the design, development, and evaluation of innovative solutions supporting secure and interoperable digital ecosystems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, industry partners, and academic institutions on EU level.
- Prepare research papers, reports, and presentations for internal and external dissemination.
