Senior Frontend Developer / Chapter Lead

In our office in the centre of Madrid, we are looking for a new Senior Frontend Developer / Chapter Lead. Find out if your profile matches our request and our teamwork can begin!

Your responsibilities

Leading the chapter
Coordination of the team
Monitoring the quality of the deliverables
Leading the team toward clear and common targets with motivation and transparency
Managing communication with the team and supervisor
Educating the team to ensure they are well-prepared for the needs
Shaping future development within the chapter to strengthen market position
Innovating processes and technologies continuously
Mentoring junior profiles
Leading technical discussions
Implementing state-of-the-art frontend solutions based on specifications and UX / UI prototypes
Creating landing pages, microsites, and several interactive elements
Creating innovative templates for all devices with usability requirements
Supporting backend developers by editing themes (Drupal, Magento)
Collaborating and sharing code with team members using GIT
Reviewing code from other team members in Bitbucket
Understanding customer or product technical needs and suggesting solution proposals
Testing skills to validate implementations
Deploying code using CI / CD tools
Communicating fluently in English (speaking and writing)

Rich experience in writing and editing JavaScript

Ability to handle frontend frameworks like jQuery and Bootstrap, as well as working without them

Strong knowledge of CSS3 and HTML5 standards and cross-browser compatible code

Experience with responsive (tablet and mobile optimised) websites

Experience with building / developing frontend frameworks and design systems

Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage

Efficient in co-operation in structured teams of developers and designers

Innovative approaches to problem-solving and requirement analysis

Awareness of Good Practices and requirements of SEO, WPO, and Accessibility (AA and AAA)

Deep understanding of Frontend methodologies such as SMACSS and OOCSS, and an appetite for writing clean, modular, and reusable code based on a strong component architecture

Solid understanding of cross-browser / platform issues and code solutions

Familiarity with technologies such as SASS, Grid, and Flexbox
