Just like the Cubism Art Movement changed the way to perceive reality in the early 20th century, we at Qbeast crave for radically different approaches to storing and processing data. Qbeast is an early-stage startup on a mission to accelerate data analytics for Data Lakehouses—independent of query engine or table format. Born from research at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), Qbeast’s foundation lies in groundbreaking multi-dimensional indexing techniques.

We envision a future in which this core indexing technology initially becomes an essential piece of data infrastructure and over time expands to touch every critical aspect of data engineering, from storage all the way to query engines, redefining how we approach current and future AI workloads. Our goal is to make this technology accessible worldwide, across clouds, and reshape the landscape of data processing.

As a DevOps Cloud Engineer, You Will

• Design, provision, and maintain infrastructure across multiple cloudplatforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Develop and manage Kubernetes environments for production and development clusters.
• Automate infrastructure and deployment pipelines using Terraform and Crossplane, and CI / CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Further SaaS Platform Operations Infrastructure to improve log and metrics management, monitoring, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve internal developer experience and streamline deployments.
• Monitor system health, performance, and costs to ensure efficient operation.
• Drive security and compliance best practices across infrastructure and deployments.
• Contribute to other areas of interest as needed. In a startup, there’s always something new to tackle.
