About The Role In Business Transformation at FTI Consulting, we focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders. Our services include pre-deal commercial and operations due diligence, post-merger integration, business plan development, restructuring and performance improvement including interim management. Our demanding customer base relies on small and senior teams.

What You’ll Do The successful candidate will participate in project teams, working with clients on the execution of various engagements and assist with ongoing business development activity.

As such, key activities include :

Modelling financial and operational scenarios

Analysing operations (e.g. OEE assessment, FTE benchmarking)

Assessing company financials

Researching markets

Developing business plans

Identifying upside / downside potential

Planning carve-outs and integrations

Managing and implementing programmes

Writing presentations and reports

Attending client / internal meetings (including regular and extensive travel)

Supporting junior team members

What You Will Need to Succeed Basic Qualifications

University degree level (or equivalent), preferably in a numerical degree or that has a numerical element

Demonstrable consulting experience.

Project experience in high paced environments focused on rapid results (e.g. rapid performance improvement, turnaround, due diligence)

Work experience and the ability to demonstrate results delivery across functions in at least some of the following focus areas :

Performance improvement, ideally turnaround, including diagnosis

Operations

Business plan review / development

Industry experience (e.g. consumer goods, retail, pharma, transportation and logistics, travel and leisure)

Implementation

Market assessment

Transactions experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional industry experience an advantage

Excellent consulting skills, specifically :

Proven ability to take a hypothesis focused approach to solve problems from first principals

Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with team members and clients at all levels using a range of styles to suit the audience

Strong written communication skills with experience of producing / leading production of client ready PowerPoint documents for senior audiences

Relationship building skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport, develop strong working relationships and work in diverse teams

Excellent organizational and planning skills and confident working with a number of demanding stakeholders, with the ability to handle multiple tasks

Equally strong EQ and IQ

Excel based analytic and modelling skills

Good knowledge of P&L, cash flow and balance sheet

Demonstrable and relevant industry expertise in companies with complex operations or environments highly preferred

Fluent Spanish speaker and writer
