R1 – Researcher in the field of Machine Learning for Electric Vehicle management

Description : Power Systems group announces a position as Early Stage Researcher (R1) to work on different technical research projects in the fields of Machine Learning application for control and management of experimental EV charging strategies and digital twins. The tasks to be carried out will be focused to development and programming of ML algorithms to operate the EV charging station considering its integration in the energy system and provide access to the cloud. Additionally, experimental activities and set ups within IREC’s lab facilities are expected.

Qualifications and experience required :

Essential :

Bachelor or Master on engineering, mathematics or similar

Experience in design ML algorithms and digital systems

Knowledge on the programming languages and communications

Preferred :

Skills in programming languages

Experience with software development

Interest on ML applications

Capacity to work with advanced microcontrollers

Interest in pursuing a PhD

Personal skills : Team Worker.

Initiative and interest in Research and Innovation.

Flexibility.

Results-oriented.

Analytical and synthesis capabilities.

Offer of job position :

We offer a R1 position for 24 months on the frame of NEVERFLAT European project.

Salaries will be paid in accordance with the IREC’s salary policy, depending on the candidate’s qualification and professional experience.
