Overview

Project Description – Data Migration (SAP / LSMW)

Responsibilities

Execution of data migration in the area of material masters and bills of materials (BOMs)
Preparation and maintenance of documentation for material master data
Creation of new material master records according to specifications provided by the business department
Mapping from the legacy system to the new SAP system , including definition and alignment of mapping rules
Processing and maintenance of approximately 5,000 data records (Excel-based, potentially more)
Definition of migration rules and technical implementation in close collaboration with developers
Import of data into SAP ECC via LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench)
Execution of test loadings for quality assurance purposes
Support in reflecting make-or-buy decisions within the context of BOMs

Must-Have Criteria

Proven experience with LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench)

Hands-on experience in the migration of material master data and BOMs

Industry knowledge in the industrial sector , especially mechanical engineering and special-purpose machinery

Experience in working with English-language bills of materials (BOMs)
