We are currently accepting applications for an Associate Director to support our Comparative Effectiveness department. This is a key position with opportunities for growth and advancement. The incumbent will work closely with project leaders and clients on various projects.
Responsibilities Statistical Modelling in health economics : Survival analysis, longitudinal modeling, etc.
Evidence synthesis : Guiding SLR development for meta-analysis, meta-regression etc.
Developing and modelling in comparative effectiveness : Indirect treatment comparison, NMA, NMR, etc.
Advanced comparative effectiveness : STC, MAIC, complex matchings or cross-over analysis
Specific day to day activities may include :
Consulting in HE / HTA statistics (+ / -80% of the work) : As a Statistician with Cytel you will work directly with the Comparative Effectiveness team to produce high-quality indirect treatment comparison analysis and reporting.
Work closely with systematic review and health economics team to support clients' research goals and / or HTA submissions
Serve as technical advisor on projects and guide junior staff members and clients in the best and most appropriate methods to answer research questions, focusing on comparative effectiveness and advanced ITC methods.
Managing a small team of RCs / SRCs
Report writing for comparative effectiveness analysis, population matching or other technical deliverables including quality control of analysis.
This is a technical position i.e. requiring statistics, mathematics and regression skills. This is not a writing or qualitative position; but writing skills will be considered an asset.
Mentor and foster a culture of open communication and research inside the team
Other tasks as needed.
Qualifications Master's degree or PhD in statistics, epidemiology, biostatistics, economics, or health economics, with 8+ years of experience in health care setting (consulting / pharma / government).
Hands-on experience in indirect treatment comparison, such as NMA, ML-NMR, MAIC and STC
Experience in quantitative health outcomes, health economics or outcome research strongly preferred.
Intermediate-to-advanced R user
Experience with causal inference methods and Bayesian inference is an asset
Experience in QBA is an asset
Excellent analytical skills
Methodical, disciplined, diligent, well-organized, and professional
Able to work well independently and as part of a team
Extremely detail-oriented and efficient
Able to multi-task and prioritize assignments
Advanced level English proficiency is required
Track record of publications strongly preferred
Prior track record of interaction with HTA agencies strongly preferred
Recurring client revenue stream experience
