Your Career
The Senior Manager, Solutions Consultant evolves the traditional Sales Engineer Manager role, aligning how we lead teams to help customers understand their environment, receive solution guidance, and realize value from Palo Alto Networks investments.
As the Senior Manager, Solutions Consultant, you are the technical leader for your District Solutions Consulting team. You will work with the District Sales Manager to build relationships with customers to help them detect and prevent advanced cyberattacks and breaches. Your guidance, expertise, and mentorship will keep the team ahead of the latest threats and on the leading edge of prevention.
As the technical leader for your assigned territory, you will guide and develop your team to define innovative technical solutions that secure customers key business imperatives and maximize the value of their investment with Palo Alto Networks. You will champion our leadership in on-premises, cloud, and security operations services, establishing Palo Alto Networks as the preferred cybersecurity partner. You will also nurture talent within your team and provide feedback to product management based on customer insights. Your team will define technical solutions and ensure value realization of investments.
Your Impact
Recruit and hire new Solutions Consultants into the territory, hiring the best talent in the industry
Train, mentor, and review employees on your team to keep them engaged and successful
Support field Solutions Consultants in complex evaluations and challenging customer environments
Lead and coach the team on technical validation efforts to ensure technical wins
Define, create and monitor individual development plans for your team
Collaborate with Professional Services, Customer Success and Specialist teams to ensure customer implementation and adoption
Provide technical leadership in customer interactions and share security trends and methodologies
Drive Palo Alto Networks Platformization within accounts
Coordinate with Domain Specialist Manager to align resources for projects
Act as escalation point for pre-sales and post-sales issues
Build and maintain relationships with key customers and reference accounts
Present as an expert to customers at all levels from technician to CIO
Discuss competitor products and position Palo Alto Networks as the best option
Collaborate with Product Management, Technical Marketing, and R&D to build requirements and provide customer feedback
Travel up to 30% within the region (mostly Spain)
Work with Sales counterpart (DSM) to develop a technical growth strategy, identify verticals and use cases
Qualifications
Your Experience
Minimum 5 years as a pre-sales System Engineer Manager with direct people management responsibility
Experience as a Senior System Engineer / Specialist
Industry knowledge of security product market trends and awareness of our roadmap and technology development
Knowledge of delivering comprehensive security solutions to Palo Alto Networks customers
Experience in selling, designing, implementing or managing one or more of the following : Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP and / or SOC Transformation Technologies
Partnering with Customer Support to ensure successful implementation and adoption of sold solutions
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Quota-driven attitude focused on client solutions as a trusted advisor
Proficient in English and Spanish
Madrid as the target location
