Your Responsibilities As an Energy Market Expert Lead, you will :
Lead our efforts to develop and update our internal expertise on the Iberian power market and its regulatory framework, becoming a key point of reference for internal teams and external stakeholders
Ensure a deep understanding of market rules and mechanics relevant for operating battery storage effectively (e.g., market communication processes, metering concepts, dispatch rules)
Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to ensure our solution captures the full financial potential of flexibility in the Iberian energy market
Work closely with our commercial and operations teams to maximize the value delivered to our customers
Provide strategic insights, requirements, and recommendations to align product development with market needs and regulatory trends
Engage with local partners, regulators, grid operators, and market participants to influence policy, secure access, and maintain strategic positioning
Your Profile Mandatory Requirements
Background in Energy Policy, Economics, Sustainability, or related fields through education or experience
7+ years of experience in energy market analysis, policy research, or regulatory affairs in Spain
Deep expertise in Iberian energy trading regulations and market structures
Proven ability to interpret complex policies and forecast market trends with strong analytical skills
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and product managers
Proactive, creative, and solution-oriented with attention to detail
Strong communication skills and target-oriented approach
Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to drive initiatives forward
Language skills : Spanish – C2, English – C1 / C2, Portuguese – B1 or higher (plus)
Skills to Set You Apart
Experience working with grid operators, power exchanges, and regulatory bodies
Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Strong network within the Spanish and / or Portuguese energy industry
Experience in cross-functional team collaboration, shaping product and market strategies
Highly detail-oriented with a strategic mindset navigating complex regulations
