Overview

Position Title : Senior Business Analyst

Reports to : Head of Change – UK & International

Location : Madrid — Hybrid working

Contract Length : 6 months, with potential for extension

Summary of Position

The Senior Business Analyst will lead the discovery phase of a strategic project aimed at developing an affinity product architecture in collaboration with a third-party supplier. This role requires a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, requirements elicitation, and solution scoping. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of business processes, technology integration, and vendor collaboration to ensure successful project outcomes. Experience in the insurance sector would be highly valued.

About the Project

The project is aimed at renewing the architecture and digital business solutions. A digital model is proposed that automates key processes, manages products, customers and operations, with renewed responsive web-APP microsites, homogenizing the visual image, navigation experience and functionalities. Adaptable and transversal model to B2B, B2C, B2B2C environments. As well as an UX / UI designed with inclusivity criteria. The solution has been planned in a SaaS model. The project is structured in two stages : Discovery and Implementation.

Key priorities for the project discovery phase include :

  • Ensure scope and requirements with the business areas
  • Gain stakeholder alignment, this is to say ensure everyone is on the same page regarding the project\'s vision, goals, and approach
  • Reducing uncertainty in the event of possible delays or unforeseen costs, therefore managing the risks
  • Planification

A realistic timeline and financial plan for the project, together with the supplier

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Discovery & Requirements Gathering :

  • Lead discovery workshops with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers to gather and document business and technical requirements, shape the EPIC and features and contribute to the sprint planning
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and user stories
  • Stakeholder Engagement :

  • Work in collaboration with the Project manager to liaise between business stakeholders and the third-party supplier
  • Facilitate regular communication and alignment sessions to ensure shared understanding and expectations
  • Process & Architecture Analysis :

  • Document current-state processes and identify to-be with new affinity solution in place
  • Collaborate with technical teams to define future-state affinity product architecture
  • Solution Scoping & Feasibility :

  • Work closely with solution architect to document and evaluate proposed solutions from third-party suppliers for feasibility, alignment, and risk
  • Change Management & Implementation Planning :

  • Support change management activities including training needs analysis and stakeholder readiness
  • Contribute to implementation planning and transition strategies
  • Skills & Qualifications

  • Fluent level of English and Spanish
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in discovery-phase analysis and vendor collaboration
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in business process modeling and requirements documentation
  • Experience in Agile methodologies-based projects
  • Familiarity with solution architecture and integration concepts
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and drive clarity in complex environments
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
