Overview
Head of Partnerships Southern Europe (Italy and Spain) for papernest — Barcelona-based, permanent role.
Responsibilities
- Strategic relationship building : Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in Banking and Fintech across Italy and Spain; participate in industry events, conferences, and country-specific networking.
- Partnership development and deal closure : Identify, negotiate, and close high-value deals and long-term partnerships with top-tier players in the Iberian region; maximize revenue potential and align with papernest’s objectives.
- Partner management and revenue growth : Oversee management of closed partnerships, develop revenue streams, define roadmaps, lead partner marketing, and report performance metrics.
- Market expansion and customer acquisition : Develop innovative distribution channels for Italy and Spain; design and implement new customer acquisition paths.
- Cross-country coordination : Align strategies across Italy and Spain to ensure cohesive regional operations, adapting for cultural, regulatory, and market nuances.
Your profile
Minimum of 10 years in a senior strategic sales or business development role (strategic partnerships, large account management, or key account business development) and / or experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm.Experience in a scale-up or operational environment is highly desirable.Graduate of a top-tier business school.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage and negotiate with C-level executives in major banks and financial institutions in Italy and Spain.Strong analytical capabilities; proficiency in Excel for financial modeling; interest in developing advanced analytical skills (SQL or similar).Strategic thinker with ability to adapt to diverse market dynamics and cultural contexts within the Iberian region.Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic scale-up environment; proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven with excellent organizational skills.Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting strategies for Italy and Spain.Native or fluent in Spanish; proficiency in Italian is a strong plus; fluent in English (written and verbal).What we offer
