    We’re hiringa Director of Product to shape the strategy, vision, and execution of the deepset AI Platform and Haystack ecosystem. You’ll lead a cross-functional team, define product direction, and drive the development of solutions that help businesses build mission-critical, GenAI-powered applications. This is a strategic, high-impact role for someone who combines product thinking, commercial insight, and technical depth in AI.

    What you will do

  • Define and drive the product strategy across open-source and enterprise offerings
  • Translate our vision into a clear product roadmap, balancing innovation and commercial value
  • Lead pricing, packaging, and positioning to support business growth
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and GTM teams to deliver impactful launches
  • Own product execution from discovery to delivery to adoption
  • Gather customer feedback, market trends, and data to inform product decisions
  • Represent the product internally and externally to customers, stakeholders, and partners
  • Mentor and scale a high-performing team of product managers and cross-functional collaborators
  • Champion GenAI innovation and pragmatic, real-world applications

    • Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Director of Product (or similar leadership role) in a tech company
  • Deep understanding of GenAI, LLMs, and their real-world applications
  • Strong technical foundation—confident working with ML / AI teams and products
  • Track record of building and scaling successful B2B products
  • Excellent communicator, both with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Skilled in commercial strategy—pricing, growth, and positioning
  • Experienced in cross-functional leadership, especially across product, design, and engineering
  • Analytical mindset and a data-informed approach to decisions
  • Passionate about building products that solve hard, meaningful problems

    • Nice to have

  • Experience launching and scaling AI or ML-based enterprise products
  • Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks, agents, or orchestration tools
  • Strong network in the AI / ML or NLP space (for partnerships, talent, feedback)
  • Experience in fundraising, investor relations, or board-level communication
