Overview

Senior Data Engineer position in Madrid. Hybrid work model : 3 days remote, 2 days on-site. Location : Paseo de la Castellana 91 - Madrid.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development in data engineering projects (ETL / ELT, automation, data management).
  • Define scalable data architectures (data lakehouse and data warehouse).
  • Develop solutions with Python and PySpark; experience with Scala and other software engineering languages is a plus.
  • Proactively anticipate and resolve technical and optimization challenges.
  • Ensure clear technical documentation and effective communication with internal teams and clients.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Strong experience in cloud architectures with IaC and CI / CD; extensive experience with Databricks and solid knowledge of Snowflake or BigQuery; certifications preferred.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP or IBM Cloud in Big Data projects; relevant certifications valued.
  • Extensive Python experience; expert PySpark; knowledge of Scala valued.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Effective communication and ability to work with clients and teams; good time management and self-management for tight deadlines.
  • Intermediate-Advanced English for technical documentation and client communication.
