Job Description
As Senior Manager Corporate Health & Safety, you will lead the global strategy to create a safe, healthy, and inclusive workplace culture across Syntegon and its value chain. This high-impact role sits at the heart of Syntegon’s Sustainability and CSR agenda, driving transformation across business units, services, and the entire value chain.
You’ll be responsible for embedding health and safety excellence into every aspect at Syntegon and driving it across its value chain of our operations : global processes, certifications, cultural transformation, and regulatory alignment. Your leadership will shape both our internal workplace culture and our external sustainability commitments.
Define and implement Syntegon’s global Health & Safety strategy aligned with CSR and sustainability goals.
As a team leader, you will directly manage, coach, and develop a group of professionals, setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and supporting their professional growth and performance improvement. In addition to leading your direct reports, you will collaborate and influence stakeholders across multiple regions, business units, and functions, fostering cross-functional teamwork and ensuring alignment with global objectives.
Drive cultural transformation to foster a proactive safety-first mindset.
Roll out global processes, certifications (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001), training programs, and awareness campaigns.
Advance occupational health initiatives including wellbeing, ergonomics, and preventive care.
Ensure compliance with CSRD, ILO conventions, UN principles, and local / global regulations.
Collaborate across the value chain—suppliers, operations, customers—to standardize and improve health & safety metrics.
Lead transformation projects using Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred).
Represent Syntegon with regulators, auditors, and industry networks.
Travel internationally to support global sites and initiatives.
Qualifications
10+ years of Health & Safety leadership in global industrial operations.
Proven experience in automotive, food / FMCG, or pharmaceutical industries.
Strong record in cultural transformation, change management, and training roll-outs.
Advanced qualifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent required.
Deep knowledge of ISO implementation, certification processes, and regulatory compliance.
Expertise in occupational health and wellbeing programs.
Strong global project management skills with cross-cultural collaboration.
Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing abilities.
Flexibility, resiliency, and willingness to travel internationally.
English fluency is required; additional languages like German, Spanish, French, and Chinese are a strong advantage.
