Five a Day English Academy is a small but growing language school in Albacete. We focus on creating a relaxed yet professional learning environment where children and adults feel motivated, supported, and confident using English.
We are now looking for a qualified and enthusiastic English teacher to join our team for the 2025 / 2026 academic year.
Job Description
The position involves teaching small groups of children and adults. Classes are dynamic, communicative, and designed to build confidence in real-life English. Materials and resources are provided, but we also value creativity and initiative from our teachers.
Responsibilities
- Teach weekly classes to Primary students (ages 8–10) and adult learners
- Plan engaging lessons based on communicative and phonics-based methods
- Create a supportive and motivating classroom atmosphere
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet different learning styles and needs
- Collaborate with the academy team to ensure consistency and quality
- (Optional) Teach in-company classes and / or baby–adult morning sessions
Schedule
Primary (ages 9–10) : Monday to Thursday, 19 : 00–20 : 30Primary (ages 8–10) : Friday, 16 : 00–17 : 30Adults (beginner group) : 1.5 hours per week in the mornings (day / time to be confirmed)Optional : Baby–adult group in the mornings, in-company classesRequirements
Native or near-native level of EnglishUniversity degree in English Philology, Primary Education, or relevant teaching qualificationMinimum 2 years’ teaching experienceEnthusiasm for education and ability to build strong rapport with learnersExperience with young children and phonics methods (e.g. Jolly Phonics) highly valuedFlexibility and reliabilityBenefits
