We have an exciting opportunity for Environmental, Health, and Safety professionals based in Valencia to make a significant impact on our EHS culture, ensuring flawless implementation and maintenance of environmental and safety standards.
Reporting to the EHS Regional Manager, the EHS Specialist will plan and implement projects and programs across different functional teams (150-200 employees) in the Iberia region to achieve the company’s EHSS goals.
What you will be doing :
- Serve as coordinator, educator, planner, and monitor of the EHS program for our offices and warehouse in Madrid, Valencia, and Lisbon.
- Develop optimal solutions to address EHS challenges and provide insights and recommendations to improve EHSS programs, strategies, and deployment.
- Contribute to ensuring and advancing compliance with all applicable EHS legislation and requirements.
- Connect with management and other collaborators to obtain accurate feedback regarding program development and implementation.
- Communicate appropriately with the regional EHS&S representative to advise on significant legal and technical EHS challenges and work together to handle them.
- Establish facility-specific EHS policies, procedures, reports, and plans as needed, and maintain EHS documents in an organized fashion.
- Participate in and support EHS audits, including regulatory inspections, corporate EHS audits, and certification audits (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SG21).
What you will bring :
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Environmental Science along with in-depth knowledge of EHSS regulations.Certified in Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL), with Spanish Health and Safety specialization required.Post-graduate studies or diploma in Environment and Sustainability are desirable.Proven experience in EHS management.Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.Excellent organizational, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.Ability to handle a broad range of tasks and priorities simultaneously and work cross-functionally in a highly matrixed environment.Good communication skills in Spanish and English.Why do you want to work at Baxter?
