Hitachi Energy is investing to establish and develop an Operation Center of Excellence in Madrid, Spain (ESOPC) within Grid & Power Quality Solutions business in Europe (HBUEU). We are seeking highly qualified engineers in the fields of Power Electronics, Grid Integration, and Research and Development (R&D) to join us in this exciting opportunity.

We are looking for a Power System Studies Engineer to join our Global eMobility Engineering team , where you’ll contribute to the development of cutting-edge DC charging infrastructure , with a special focus on electric bus fleets .

How you’ll make an impact

• Conducting power system studies like Load Flow, Short Circuit, Arc Flash and Power Quality (Power factor & Harmonics Analysis) studies using software tools.
• Understanding the Grid performance requirements and compliance.
• Perform reliability & availability calculations for different configurations & optimize.
• Perform sizing calculations and prepare Single Line Diagram with available products.
• Ensure compliance with Customer’s specifications and requirements.
• Provide technical support during tendering and project execution phases
• Ensure safety, compliance, and engineering excellence throughout the project

Your background

Willingness to travel : Required 10% of the time.
