About this opportunity
We're searching for a project manager with experience delivering major healthcare schemes to join our growing Exeter office as healthcare project management lead. An extremely successful addition to our South West region, our Exeter office has seen excellent growth in the last year through high standard of service delivery and high profile contracts awarded. As a result, we're searching for a Associate Director to join the team and lead key healthcare schemes in the region.
You will play a key role in the delivery of major healthcare programmes, providing expert advice and managing colleagues, consultants and contractors throughout project lifecycle. Reporting into our South West regional healthcare lead, you will support on healthcare bids, and have a role in growing our healthcare capabilities & network in the region.

Core responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectivesActively identifying new business development opportunities and driving growth across the Business Unit’s activities.Positively engaging with customers and developing, growing and maintaining customer relationshipsDelivering high quality services and deliverables ensuring that services meet our Customer’s requirements.Managing teams to deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with the business proceduresAdministering contracts as a contract administrator, employer’s agent or project manager.Producing and presenting to customersMentoring and coaching employees so that they realise their full potentialPreparing bids for services.Managing service delivery for profit.Advising directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or may arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.Actively identifying new business development opportunities and driving growth across the business units activitiesAs a Gleeds team member, you will have access to :

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills
Experience delivering major healthcare sector construction projectsBroad, in‑depth project management and / or programme management experience post qualification.Detailed knowledge and practiced experience of project management techniquesSound knowledge of the industry (including factors affecting it) and construction methods and materialsComprehensive knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategiesClear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.Experience acting as contract administrator on NEC contractsAbility to motivate others (including providing support and encouragement) and to lead high performance teams.Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.Excellent problem solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skillsSound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to work as part of a team and manage teams.Qualifications
