Our client, a a global leader automotive company, is looking for a procurement engineer to join it's organization and be part of a successfull project based in Vallés area.

Key Responsibilities

• Supplier selection : Search and evaluation of an appropriate panel of suppliers to meet profitability, quality, and lead time targets.
• Supplier management & benchmarking : Supervision of supplier performance and comparative analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
• Cost analysis and RFQ : Requesting quotations and performing detailed cost analysis.
• Technological innovation : Researching new technologies and alternative manufacturing methods to stay competitive.
• Cost reduction projects : Identifying and implementing initiatives to optimize costs.
• Audits and quality development : Participating in customer audits and supplier quality development, including APQP, PPAP, and process audits.
• Supplier management in serial phase : Monitoring performance, developing continuous improvement plans, and managing non-conformities through 8D reports and audits.
• Project leadership (PPL) : Coordinating purchasing activities in assigned projects, tracking APQP milestones, and ensuring efficient communication with the Project Management team and the Global Technical Procurement Manager (requires 3+ years of experience in the development phase).
