Quality Assurance Analyst

Overview Quality Assurance Analyst role at TransPerfect . The TransPerfect TechOps team delivers technology and services that support the company’s GlobalLink platform and scalable client interfaces. In this role, you will work closely with the QA Team and assist with testing our flagship product and its reporting features. You will identify weak spots in the code base and design ways to break software to identify potential problems. You will perform hands-on QA testing including data integrity for new features and regression testing while working with developers to resolve defects, risks and issues.

Responsibilities

Initiate and monitor QA testing, making adjustments for scalability, functionality, and usability

Test web applications, creative content and special projects

Create test cases vs. RTM Matrix against the user stories to support application development

Test the application through both manual and automated means

Conduct regression, system, integration, and web services testing

Test and ensure that software enhancements and system fixes meet defined requirements

Make recommendations for revisions or improvements, including product customization, based on client feedback

Identify user stories and translate them into test cases as required

Identify and log defects using Team Foundation Server

Provide usability and functionality feedback to developers

Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers and Release Manager to ensure QA standards are met

Work with developers, designers and engineers to build applications to spec and on time

Provide technical guidance on defects to developers

Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements

Participate in sprint planning and daily standups with cross-functional teams

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Experience analyzing user stories and translating them into test cases

Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps

Experience building and executing manual test cases for client Web & GUI applications

Experience testing RESTful web services and APIs

Past QA testing experience including GUI-driven testing

Experience working with data and APIs

Ability to write test plans with traceability to acceptance criteria

Ensures QA standards are met in pre-production environments

Strong analytical and autonomous problem-solving skills

Self-starter, self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team

High attention to detail and accuracy
