Predoctoral fellowship (PREP 2024) : PID NB-I00 Convergence of light and retrograde pathways for photoprotection (PHOTO-WAYs) at Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics - CRAG.

The CRAG offers a 4-year predoctoral fellowship as part of the "Spanish National Programme for the Promotion of Talent and its Employability in R+D+i" (FPI fellowships). This fellowship is awarded to the “Knowledge Generation Project” and “Action for the training of predoctoral research staff” associated with the PREP2024 Project PID NB-I00 "Convergence of light and retrograde pathways for photoprotection" (PHOTO-WAYs).

Responsibilities

• Join the CRAG research group Environmental control of plant and algae growth led by Dr. Elena Monte.
• Investigate the mechanisms of cell division and expansion that underlie light-regulated cotyledon development in Arabidopsis.
• Use cotyledon expansion as a model to explore the crosstalk between photoreceptor and chloroplast signaling in tissue specificity.
• Identify novel regulatory factors and integrate cellular, molecular, biochemical, single cell genomics, and computational approaches.
• Experience in photobiology and Arabidopsis research is valued.

Qualifications

Requirements To Apply

Candidates must hold a degree that allows admission to the official doctoral programme at the time of joining the host institution. To join CRAG, candidates must hold a degree with a minimum of 300 ECTS credits in university studies, of which at least 60 must be at Master level.
