IT & DIGITAL EXPANSION SPECIALIST

The Position
We are collaborating with a multinational FMCG company who is currently involved in one of the greatest transformation projects and, at the same time, they are expanding their business. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic IT & Digital Expansion Specialist with an entrepreneurial mindset to join their IT and International Distributors teams. This role is critical in supporting the company’s entry into new markets by ensuring robust, scalable, and secure IT infrastructure and digital capabilities to fulfill the needs of the business. You will collaborate cross-functionally with business development, operations, and local market teams to enable seamless tools integration and digital readiness in each new market.
Key Responsibilities
Business-Driven IT Analysis
Analyze the business model, operational needs, and business expectations in each new market to identify IT requirements.
Translate business needs (short- and long-term) and IT requirements into actionable IT initiatives, ensuring technology supports commercial success and operational efficiency.
Assess local IT requirements, regulations, and infrastructure needs in target markets.
Act as a strategic partner to business stakeholders, advising on what IT initiatives are required to expand in new markets and beyond.
Project Management & Coordination
Lead and coordinate IT-related projects and / or the functional IT stream in general projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals, from blueprint to data migration and interfacing / implementing, UAT and hypercare.
Define project scopes, timelines, and resource needs; track progress and manage risks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of expansion initiatives.
Infrastructure & Systems Deployment
Oversee the setup of IT systems, networks, and tools in new markets and overall.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and with the Company global IT strategy.
Vendor & Partner Management
Identify and manage relationships with IT service providers and vendors.
Evaluate and implement third-party solutions to support expansion goals (only in case such solutions are not already included in the Company core architecture).
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years of experience in IT roles, preferably with international or expansion-related projects.
Strong understanding of IT enterprise architecture, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and compliance.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), enterprise systems (e.g. SAP ECC or S4), and SaaS tools.
Excellent project management and cross-cultural communication skills, ideally with relevant certifications (e.g. PMP, Prince2, SAFe SPC).
Fluent English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a strong plus.
Ability to travel internationally as needed.
