The company develops, builds, finances, manages, and operates high-quality renewable energy projects across several countries, with a portfolio of 2.6 GW (1.3 GW operational and over 1.3 GW under construction). The Energy Storage Market Analyst reports to the Global Head of Energy Storage and is part of the Energy Storage department, which oversees all aspects related to standalone and hybrid energy storage assets.
Within the Energy Storage team, the Energy Storage Market Analyst is responsible for studying global energy markets, preparing internal reports and executive briefings, and monitoring the global energy regulatory environment. The analyst maintains relationships with market consultants, evaluates their assumptions, develops revenue models for our assets, and assesses the performance of the asset hedging portfolio.
What will you help with
Develop and maintain revenue models for standalone energy storage and hybrid assets.
Analyze global energy markets, including contract structures, price dynamics, revenue streams, and settlement mechanisms.
Monitor global regulatory and technological developments.
Maintain relationships with market consultants and evaluate their assumptions.
Conduct sensitivity analyses and risk assessments to support investment decisions and evaluate impacts on the existing portfolio.
Develop energy trading and market participation strategies for standalone and hybrid energy storage assets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize model performance and asset management.
Provide data-driven strategic insights to senior management.
Who you are
Detailed knowledge of global energy markets and its key drivers.
Mathematical, techno-economic optimization, and financial modeling skills.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office and VBA.
Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for data analysis and optimization.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
Highly systematic and strategic mindset, capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments.
Solid organizational skills with attention to detail.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Energy, Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or related fields.
Proficiency in English.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the renewable energy sector.
