Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is a growing multinational company dedicated to making electric power safer, more reliable, and more economical. We support customers around the world in this critical industry and are looking for a motivated and detailed individual to join our team as Accountant supporting our operations in Italy and Spain. If you are looking for an opportunity to utilize your educational background in accounting to provide proactive and detailed projects and financial support then this position is for you!

Responsibilities

• Maintaining subledgers, posting journal entries, bank reconciliations, assistance in preparing financial statements in accordance with Local GAAP (Italy & Spain)
• Assistance with audit process, preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Management of the employee expense claim process, accounts receivable & payable; assist in performing month end close and / or in preparation of management documents and presentations
• Ad hoc support across the finance function, other general administration tasks
• Assist and / or lead special projects
• Understand. Create. Simplify
• Other duties as assigned

This position is located in our Madrid, Spain office which is near the Ramon y Cajal train station and has easy access to metro and bus transport.
