We are looking for a highly skilled Terminal Operations Support Specialist to join our team. This is a critical role that requires a technically proficient individual who can work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced onsite environment.
This specialist will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting IT / OT infrastructure, including datacenter racks, cabling, servers, storage, and network equipment. They will also provide end-user support for hardware and software, handle incident and service management, and contribute to the stability and security of critical systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT engineering, telecommunications, or related field, with at least 4 years of hands-on experience in IT / OT support roles. They should possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, fluency in English and Spanish, and ability to work independently and deliver results in a critical onsite environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-user support for hardware and software, including Office applications, desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to local IT infrastructure.
- Support and maintain OT infrastructure assets, including CCTV, radio communications, biometric readers, OCR equipment, and vehicle-mounted terminals.
- Manage service requests and incident tickets, ensuring resolution within agreed SLAs.
- Participate in technical projects involving system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Contribute to the IT / OT knowledge base by documenting troubleshooting guides and solutions.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving activities.
- Support and monitor datacenter operations, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with regional and global IT teams to deliver effective onsite IT / OT support.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Degree in IT Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in IT / OT support roles.Strong knowledge of VMware and / or Cisco networking technologies, beyond basic monitoring.ITIL knowledge or certification is highly desirable.Proven experience in incident management, routine IT service maintenance, and technical support.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Fluency in both English and Spanish is mandatory.Ability to work independently and deliver results in a critical onsite environment.Benefits
